Baby Sleep Tracker Questions

What is a wake window and why does it matter?

A wake window is the amount of time your baby can comfortably stay awake between sleep periods — for example, about 2–2.5 hours at 6 months. Tracking wake windows helps you spot when your baby is ready for their next nap or bedtime, instead of guessing.

Can this sleep tracker create a schedule for my baby?

It gives you a personalized starting point based on your baby's age, morning wake time and naps. Every baby is different, so treat it as a flexible guide and follow your baby's sleep cues.

How many naps should my baby have each day?

It changes with age: newborns often take 4–6 naps, babies around 6 months usually take 3, around 12 months usually 2, and by 18 months most are down to 1–2. See the wake-window table above for typical ranges.

Why should I track naps instead of following a strict schedule?

Because sleep needs shift from day to day — and as your baby grows. Tracking shows you the pattern, so you can make one small timing tweak instead of overhauling the whole routine.
